Of all the new car reviews I’ve had to write, this one was the most difficult. It’s hard for me to be objective when it comes to Subarus because I’ve owned six of them. Every time I think I’ve moved on from the brand, I see a picture of a tastefully modified bugeye WRX (they exist), or I start daydreaming about the adventures I could have in a lifted Outback H6. Basically I have a deep connection with the company or at least the company that they were.

The new Subaru is very different from the Subaru I grew up with. They sell a crap ton of vehicles to people all over the country, not just in the Northeast or Northwest as it used to be. None of this is breaking news as they’ve been growing for quite sometime now, but I think 2015 will be the year that really cements them as a force to be reckoned with. Why 2015? Because the cheapest car in their lineup puts the competition to shame. Not just the competition within its segment either, the 2015 Impreza 2.oi Limited is very capable of punching above its class.

We have a 2012 Impreza and it’s a great car. I love that car, we don’t have starlink and eyesight but that’s fine. I think we’re averaging around 34 MPG in summer and around 30 in winter. Mostly mixed driving. AWD is great in our hilly NY town.
I guess I’ll stop rambling now.

I love our 2012 Impreza Limited. Got it for a bargain used back in San Antonio (it wasn't selling). It's a great car, very comfortable and capable.
