If you were going to open a car dealership to sell the cars, what brand would you sell?
If you list more than one brand please number them.
The makes must be available in the country you live in.
Here is a Toyota Sports 800 engine for your time.

I would sell Mazadas. All the models they have are pretty good in their class, and they are all good looking cars. (The 3 is a little awkaward but not ugly.)

An Alfa and Performance Dodge dealership... yeah it wouldn’t stay in business that long

Toyotas and Mitsubishis.
A) People love buying Toyotas.
B) People love buying Mirages.

Mercedes-Benz/smart.
Unfortunately, smarts are a tough sell in America. If you want to sell smarts, you also have to sell the big Benzes. Besides, MB showrooms are really pretty. :)

Toyota. Their sales are high and their profit margins are pretty healthy.

Probably Hyundai/Kia, here in Australia their sales are multiplying rapidly and they are quickly stealing Toyota’s crown (no pun intended) as the go to brand.

I guess Subaru, cause everyone seems to want em right now.

I would sell Audi and Porsche, Audi for something interesting as well as something halfway normal and Porsche for the fun of it. I have actually thought about selling motorcycles and those would be Honda or Polaris for a constant seller than have something like Ducati for the niche market.

1. GM (no real preferences between brands)
2. VAG
3. MB
4. BMW
5. Subaru
6,793. Toyota

A VW dealership for two reasons
1. I would get rich.
2. Free service for my Jetta.

Now that they are reliable, Jaguar. Get to listen to fantastic exhausts when customers leave and get to watch cat fights between mistresses and wives.

I, too, would sell Mazdas. I need a company I can stand behind and Mazda has the best product in the business, not to mention 6 back-to-back C&D comparo wins.
![]() 08/04/2015 at 12:09 |

Ah, but if you get free service for your Jetta, wouldn’t you lose money?

Porsche. Now that would be an interesting experience.
Also no image because FUCK YOU KINJA

Tesla.
/trolllolololol
In seriousness, Mazda. There’s not a vehicle they make that I wouldn’t buy myself or recommend to anyone else.
To keep traffic up (because Mazda is somewhat low volume), I’d add on the former-Ford-PAG brands, notably Jaaaaaaaaag and Land Rover, Volvo, and perhaps Aston Martin too.
If it is strictly about volume and profits, Ford/Lincoln.

subarus sell themselves at or above sticker on most models so ill go with them

Subaru - I live in the mountain west, I wouldn’t even have to advertise.

1. Tesla
2. Ford
IMHO the only automakers working toward the future of transportation.

Nah I’d just charge someone else out the ass for their service.
Isn't that how dealerships work?
![]() 08/04/2015 at 12:35 |

That’s how VW dealerships work. You sure you don’t already have a dealership?

Maybe.

Ford with the following plan:
Sell Mustangs, the ST siblings, the RS, some MT Foci and Fiestas, then Raptors because. Smaller inventory with niche drivers? True...but smaller inventory on a large lot leaves room for AUTO CROSS OUT BACK SUCKAZZZZZ!!!!!
I wonder if it would work...

BMW + Mercedes + Porsche
- Profit Margins
- Cool Cars to sell
- Cool Company Cars

Asked Smart if they were going to sell the ForFour in the U.S. I got a reply, but they did not answer. I think the ForFour would more than double Smart sales.

I would open a multi brand dealership called JimBob’s Trucks n’at.
It would sell full-size trucks of all 4 domestic brands. No matter what the brand loyalty, you’d get a sale. Advertise the value of cross shopping, and leverage the commercial space.
Bing bang boom, bazillions in profits.

I thought about Ford, but the Fiesta, Focus, Fusion, and Taurus are all ugly and I don’t want to look at any of them.

Honda. Simple pricing, reliable, and customer friendly. All the Honda dealers I know are pretty good. The fact that they sell a ton of cars also helps.

Lexus in a fancy community. Those dealerships basically just print money.
![]() 08/04/2015 at 22:45 |

Lexus - high margins, decent factory support, and carefully controlled territories so you’re not on top of other franchises.

bill it to fleet company’s as “extra” work required on their vehicles.

our service department do it all the time!
just so they get commission.

Most people are vulnerable to those kinds of things though. When I go in for service I tell them fix this and only this.
If they do anything other than what I tell them I refuse to pay for it.
