Well, as many of you might know, !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . It’s inconvenient, but not entirely unexpected as it was pretty tired and had over 220k miles on what I’m pretty sure is an untouched engine. This means that it’s time for an engine swap!
Money no object, I want a 2ZZ. Money is an object however, and I wasn’t planning on needing an engine this soon, so I decided to go with something more conventional. In a few days, I should be getting a new-to-me 4AGE Blacktop engine. With an extra 50 or so HP on tap over the (maybe) 100 I was running before, I’m looking at a pretty huge power bump. I ordered some lighter pulleys, oil pan baffles, new belts, and some tuneup items for it and can’t wait to get it in the car. Hopefully I’ll have it in the car and running in time for the next track day (BRO!). I really need a GoPro so I can make videos...

Awesome! I’ve heard good things about the Black Top.

I was torn between this and a silvertop. I heard that the con-rods in the Blacktop break easier, but that’s also why it’s so rev happy and puts out more power. If they snap, I’ll probably just rebuild the bottom end with GZE parts and go turbo.
