Or maybe the automotive equivalent of a Jon Snow. You know, the somewhat illegitimate child of a highborn father and a lowborn mother who has to wear a plebeian name, so as not to get confused with the “real” family.
Ooooh, and there’s another similarity! Say what you will about Jon Snow, nobody ever called him ugly, and I don’t think anyone will ever call this as well.

It’s the same vein as the Dino and, to a lesser extent, the water-cooled, front-engined Porsches?

I’m curious: On the licence plates, what does the red text signify? Temporary plates? I know that RO = Rosenheim and the seal is for Bavaria.

What about things with almost no noble blood that get official recognition despite their bastardy?

Dealer plate. Not what a US dealer plate means. Red plates only get issued to car dealers or shops so that they can move vehicles without registration. If you test drive a car it will usually have red plates. Only dealerships or shops can get them and they will have to keep a logbook as to which vehicle they used them on and when and who drove it and so on. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle_r…

Thanks. That sounds similar to dealer plates here in B.C. Canada, but we don’t have to keep a logbook here.

Well, I have never seen anyone actually do it, but they have to come up with some sort of an answer should there be a speeding ticket or something.
