I’ve been watching some of Doug’s non-GTR, non-Hummer related youtube videos. I approve, mostly.
I desperately wish he would stop wiggling his feet during interviews, and the one with the NASCAR drivers was painful. It would have been top ten on !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! Honestly, I don’t think that was Doug’s fault. You can only get so much good film out of two good old boys who seemed to have as much enthusiasm about cars as they do about the latest wheelchair tech. Suarez was pretty good, though. Here it is, watch with caution.
My hands down favorite so far was the discussion about buying cars for a teenager. Nicole Conlan and Jeanette Klein actually had something to say, which is really the first step to making these good. It’s a conversation about cars between three people that love cars. Enough said. Oh, and Doug’s opening line for the segment with Tavarish had me laughing with gusto.
The lesson here is that it doesn’t matter if you get George Clooney to come on the show; if he doesn’t have shit to say, then tell him to go home. I’ll take people off the street, as long as they love cars!
OK, George can stay, but Doug can only ask him questions related to the Hummer.
