My friends and I have quarreled about this endlessly. Now I am counting on the opponaughts to settle this argument once and for all.

Lower it slightly on some understated, slightly lower offset gold alloy wheels.

Alternative: Lower it slightly, pull the wheel covers off and add chrome dog dish hubcaps somehow.

Or, the smart decision:

Keep it just the way it is, keep it out of the salt, detail it and maintain it, while possibly adding factory-correct option parts like alloy wheels. In time, if you take good care of it, it will become special just out of rarity and exceptional condition. This is the route I’d recommend taking, but I know 17 year old me wouldn’t listen, either.

you will need the gold lexus grille and while your at it replace all chrome with gold trim, then take out a resonator or 2 so they hear you as well, finally change the wheels, you don’t necessarily have to increase the size just a change from stock, get them poking out a bit rather than hiding in the arches

You’re a teenager and you have a very nice car. Don’t worry about “road presence” or whatever the heck that even means. Detail it like crazy. Keep it clean. That’s more than most teens do to their cars.

Now I say this next part without wanting to sound rude, but probably inevitable. Stop asking the internets how to make your car “better.” how to get it more “presence” or what you should do next to it - all posts you’ve made within less than a week of purchasing it. It’s your car, enjoy it and do whatever the hell you want to it. If other people don’t like it then screw ‘em.

headlights and taillights. get some headlights that seem to look down on people. keeps a nice classy “stock” look compared to throwing rims on it. Rims would just make you look like a drug dealer, and not even a good one. One that’s been pushin’ dimes and dubs for 10+ years without stepping it up.

Black that nasty thing out, slap on some gold/bronze colored badges, and minimal ones at that. Black out the chrome, the grill, etc. Only shiny headlights.

Lower it, give it coilovers so you don’t trash your ability to turn and handle well. And goddamn give it some bigger wheels. I’m not talking donk status, but something meaner, and much more chrome. Space them bitches out a little, and call it a day....

I would say a very slight lowering (.5”.8”), the wheel gap just looks to be too much. I would also have the front turn signals color-match tinted to body color, as I feel they break up the front end and make it look less substantial. Then finally, I would get some later generation LS wheels, like these:

Sorry, no road presence. It’s a bit too...generic looking. To me at least.

Road presence, to me, is making your car stand out, or having it different from the other cars. Usually not stock, though even stock cars can have presence if it’s just the right shade of color.

I don't like road presence, as it makes me a cop magnet because both my cars have obvious colors. So I try to be extra careful driving.
