What year is your truck? My parents used to have a Toyota pickup with that same style latch bed, and eventually I’d like to get one like theirs. It was a fun thing, with ice cold air conditioning and a 4-speed.

Good to see a pickup being used as a pickup! On a related note, I go direct to a local soil conditioner plant for -you guessed it- soil conditioner, loose and by the ton. There’s one driver there who can plop 2 tons straight into the trailer with no fuss or mess, and another driver who just flings stuff everywhere, one time scoring a direct hit on the ground on the opposite side, burying the trailer wheels under a small mountain in the process. The trailer is 7 foot wide. I specifically asked for Mr Good Driver’s rota so I’m sure to get him every time I go in.

Loaded Mazda Approves. These were loaded by hand, but most of the recent open bed loads have been dirt, gravel, or mulch. I’m going to miss this truck when it is gone....
