Finally broke 30mpg!

Last time I filled up, I calculated my mileage for the tank at 31.1mpg - a huge step up from my usual 25-ish. I suppose it helps that I had a 3-day event downtown (about 30 miles away) and I slept at home both nights, so it was three round trips. And I live one mile from the freeway, and my parking spot was only another mile from the exit. So it was about 180 miles of freeway driving, then another 120 of I don’t know what. Usually I only get ~30 miles on the highway out of each tank.

Yep! My grandpa apparently did it regularly, but he never broke 55. Anywhere. As much as I’d love to save money and probably prolong the car’s life, that’s just not going to happen. It can do 80 without struggling, so that’s what I’m going to do. :P

1994 Ford Escort LX. It supposedly should be getting 25 city/35 highway, but those numbers are way too high, I think.

The EPA rating on my old ZX2 were well below what you could get out of that car, but it looks similar for yours...
