This is pretty sadistic.

If you had to choose, between all three GM E-body cars, which would you pick to DD, Track or Burn?

Kinja'd!!!

DD: the 67 Eldorado

Kinja'd!!!

Track: The 66 Toronado

Kinja'd!!!

Burn: The 65 Riviera (though I don’t want to)

You'd do the same thing? Or you agree that it's sadistic?

I’d have to burn the Toronado - though I like them a lot, the ‘66 isn’t my favorite look, and the Eldorado has most of the same features and the same drivetrain.

DD: The riv. Because classiness + practicality.

Race: The Eldo. Because comedy, and I’ve got to get my FWD big block giggles in the most efficient way possible.

Totally fair reason to burn the Toro.

DD Riviera, Track the ‘66 Toronado, keep the ‘97 Eldorado and burn you.

Believe me, it wasn't easy. I've got some lighter fluid if you want to get a head start.

I’m ok with this:

Burn: Eldorado, Toronado, Riviera

DD & Track: Use insurance money to buy Lancia Flaminia Coupé, swap V6 for Ferrari Tipo 208 V12 and adapt 500 Superfast S2 5-speed transmission for transaxle application.

Easy as 1, 2, 3: Do it all with the Riviera, burn the rest.

Track is easy, gotta be the Rivi, because RWD.

DD is tricky. Conventional wisdom days the Eldo, because it’s the nicest and has the most status. However the Toronado is probably almost as nice, and it’s a lot more unique. It looks like a gadamn scaceship!

Bah! This hits me right in the feels, because my first car was a Toronado (an ‘89, so not nearly as cool), but the Eldo is better looking.

Screw it, give me the wierd, give the Toronado to DD.

I’ll burn the tires off the Eldo on the way to drop it off at your house :)

Thanks, I appreciate that.

And maybe this is just me, but even if the final Toro suffered from spotty quality, out of all the downsized E-bodies from 86-91, I always thought that it looked a lot better, especially in 90-92 when they stretched it out.

Personally, I think the shorter ones looked better. I think they were nice clean designs, especially the Eldorado’s and the Toronado. It was a really nice car, but the quality was HORRENDOUS. Mine was a loaded model with the Troffeo package. My parents were the original owners, and I bought it off them in ‘97. I dumped $5k into that car before I gave up, and sold the car back to my dad. He dumped another few grand into it before he finally gave up and junked it in ‘03 or so.

Not cool. Just plain not cool.

That being said. Riviera. I will answer no further than that.

I’m not a fan of US cars all that much, but this challenge is still crazy hard.

DD - Buick. It’s as comfortable as the rest, and has this as bonus:

Kinja'd!!!

Enough said.

Track - Olds. It simply looks too cool to burn and has sweet historical merit.

Burn - Caddy. Only because it drew the shortest straw.

I’d choose any if I got the chance though. ;P
