My parents are cleaning up their house and asked if I wanted one of the platinum records that belonged to my Grandparents, of course I said yes. My uncle was the producer for Kansas for years and toured with the band. So he gave the Award albums to my grandparents.

I was curious, so I did a bit of research:

Interesting that that record might not actually be Kansas. However, it probably *is* something playable.

I always wondered about that. I’m certainly not going to test it out.
Also for those interested it seems my uncle has a wiki page of all the songs he worked on.

Quite bizarre of a line up.

Saxon, KISS, Malmsteen, Georgia Satellites - lots of good stuff, but yes, very eclectic.

I saw that. That’s one of the bands I’ve been meaning to investigate for a while. Ended up as somewhat a more heavy and more modern version of Rainbow, didn’t they?

I’ve only heard some of the earlier stuff they did.. lyrically they are somewhat close to Rainbow, but they are WAY more folk/medieval than rock/hard rock. Don’t expect heavy metal. But I love it.
But damn, this guy worked with SOOO many bands I fucking love.. Shadow Gallery, Kansas, Burning Rain, Saxon, Black Sabbath and the list continues..
