It was my first run of the day and first time autocrossing on an oval track so it took some getting used to. After my little incident in a low horsepower car we decided to change the lat bit where I lost it. Ended up 4th quickest raw time in a 4 banger BMW and just missed out on 1st in PAX

Did you get chewed out before you drove into the pit section?

Not really, at the 1:45 - 2:15 mark where Im talking to the safety steward he just wanted to know how the incident happened and asked me to come out and discuss the course with him and if we should change it to make it safer. He knows Im one of the more capable drivers in our little region and that Im in a well sorted car so if it that happened to me it was certainly going to happen to someone else and likely end worse. At the 2:45 mark, thats just my dad who was working the corner where it all went wrong so he saw everything go down and was just worried about the car.

Oh okay, I couldn’t quite hear the conversation over the exhaust. I was going to be a little peeved if that happened, since an autocross is where you are supposed to go to “safely” make mistakes. Glad you didn’t touch the wall!

Yea, I was less than a foot away from tagging the wall and the conversation was essentially to determine if the course was inherently unsafe due to the design and banking of the oval or if I was just being stupid so it wasnt like I was being reprimanded!
