Reckon this one will be good enough oppo? Will only be used occasionally. Mainly need it for an upcoming timing belt change. !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

I think I have the same one but branded as a Kobalt.
9/10 would receive a present again.

I got mine at Harbor Freight. Believe it or not, it's actually good!

I keep thinking I need one but I think I want one more than I actually need one.

I’ve wanted one for a while and now I actually have a need for it. I usually borrow my grandad’s but it’s old and likely miles out of calibration.

This is the cheapest I can find that isn’t from a sketchy chinese company on ebay. I dont think we have harbor freight in the UK.

I’m a big fan of my Craftsman one. Probably the same guts, but Sears has replaced it anytime I asked.

It's still nice to have though isn't it?

It is. I have a Dremel sat in the box that I’ve only used twice, that I bought because I thought it was cool.

Lol. I've got one. Bought it eight or nine years ago and never actually used it.

I have an angle grinder that I used once and forgot about too haha. That’s why I’ve forced myself to only buy tools when I need them.

This looks exactly like the one from Harbor Freight in the states. You can get it for around $10. I use it primarily for lug nuts and it has worked fine for the two years I have had it.
I did a good amount of research on which torque wrench was worth it a while back. It seems that unless you are willing to spend $100+, you may as well get a cheap one.

In the last year I've tried to be that way about car cleaning stuff. I used to spend up to £200 a month on stuff. Now I'm more organised and become quite methodical in my approach. Though Gtechniq have a HTST (Here Today Shone Tomorrow) offer on tomorrow for I1AB, L1AB and C6AB (I1, L1 and C6 with Biocote anti-bacterial coat added).

It seems to pull fairly good reviews, but I’m always wary of any Silverline goods that have moving parts. I’ve used a few and broken all of them, apart from my spanners.
I’ve recently just bought this: Laser 0316 Torque Wrench 1/2”d 42Nm<210Nm by Laser http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0012M9GC8/… and all I can say is it feels solid and I haven’t broken it yet :)

Hmm that’s not a bad price. I’ve never had any silverline stuff so not sure of their long term reliability.

Fair enough, I'm definitely not willing to spend loads.

Doh. I bought mine full price because they had pretty much just come out and I thought it'd come in useful, but boy was I wrong. :(

I used mine to add a brushed finish to a watch and repair my side mirror and that’s it haha.

Mine is somewhere in a cupboard below the stairs.

I’m looking for one myself sometime - I have one I received as a gift, but it’s a HUGE one, so not usable for most car applications.

I just want a cheap-ish one for a few car based things. That said if I get a nicer one I can use it for torquing hub bearings and such.
