My dad just got a A 2015 Ford F250 lariat with the 6.2 litre gas engine. It’s covered in bugs from the two hour car ride but it’s pretty cool! It has toggle switches which I may or may not of played with while quoting lines from top gun. Also lets give the sony a7 a hand for that low light performance! Almost noise free iso 12800 right there!

I love that there's a rubber strip on the front bumper to stand on while working under the hood.

Great choice! I myself would have chosen the diesel (I have a bit of an obsession with the 6.7L Scorpion) but that 6.2 stands on its own; my brother has the 6.2L in his Super Duty and loves it. Congratulations to your family! Also, nice job on the camera work, and hooray for adjustable ISOs.
Is he going to get anything connected to the toggles, like cab lights, fogs, or PTOs?

Remove the emissions junk off the 6.7 and you’ve got a sweet ride. Ever since manufacturers had to start putting DEF/DPF on the engines, fuel economy decreased so much.

You either need it or a 12 food ladder!

I don’t think he has any plans for that right now. Also thanks!

Also, retrofitting the 2015’s turbo or some other aftermarket unit(high rated aftermarket) will save some heartache down the line.

They need to release more pics, because that pic makes it look awful.

Interesting. I spend most of my time within Super Duties towing something just under the weight limit for a non-semi-class CDL, so fuel economy has never been wondrous, but compared to the 7.3, 6.0, and 6.4, I’ve noticed better economy, lower driveline temperatures, and easier going, thanks to the power. The DEF is kind of irritating but the truck owner keeps a couple gallons under the rear seats (hooray for folding rear seats!) for needed top-ups, and thankfully the port is just behind the fuel door, along with the obvious diesel filler neck. If it means reducing pollution, then hooray for that.
To me, the 6.7 is a sweetheart of an engine in stock form. There’s also clearly loads of untapped potential, but given that the fleet manager cares more about economy, reliability, and longevity, I doubt I’ll have a chance to tweak omen anytime soon.

Nikon 24mm f/2.6 Ai-s! The a7 is amazing at high iso! I can get useable results up to about 16000 iso as long as I use out of camera jpeg which does an amazing job with noise reduction! That being said I try and keep it in the range of iso 6400 when possible as I still have decent dynamic range at that iso. That being said, once you get to 20,000 it starts to get a bit sketchy as seen below when I tried to take a picture of my truck.

In all honesty I’m just making conjectures. I do know that you can get over 20 mpg easy with the 7.3 Powerstroke and 5.9 Cummins, both of which were designed before the emissions stuff.

I honestly don’t have high hopes for any angle to look good. That face is just downright hideous.

That’s certainly possible. I’ve not noticed massive differences, as I tend to average 7-14mpg when towing, depending on the truck, loadout, and where and when I am driving. I think the lowest I’ve gotten was just over 4 in the southern Appalachians in the 6.0, and the highest was almost 20 on a lovely flat, straight stretch from Missouri out west in the 6.7 locked in cruise behind a convoy of semi trucks.
