When camping, always make sure your tent has a 385 hp 5.7 liter V8.
Note the cans of Arnold Palmer in the cup holders.
Bonus points: the Sequoia’s rear window rolls down into the tailgate like on an old station wagon.

Ask your dealer if they can furnish you with special window screens at small cost.

the closed tailgate with open window is pretty ideal for back of car sleeping

I’ve been a bit stuck on the idea of car camping lately. I camped once in my WRX wagon when I had it, and it was pretty great. Just park and sleep. Or try to sleep. Since it was February in Missouri and my mummy bag was too small. But I recently had the seats out of my CRX and found that yes, I could theoretically stretch out in there. Now I want to drive it to the middle of the Gobi desert and camp there.

I love how this dude’s wearing his full suit and tie while he’s setting up his car campsite. Nashes are only for the finest gentlemen.

Doing it wrong is being 6’3” and sleeping sideways in the back of a crew cab Silverado HD. Which I did.
It wasn’t pleasant. That could have also been caused by the fact that it was 95 degrees in Savannah, GA, with relative humidity of 100%.

That’s one of my favorite parts of my 4Runner, that at 6’ tall I can lay out completely, even though it’s a relatively compact SUV (‘95). Also the rear window makes it better than any XJ.
Side note: I saw my first lifted Sequoia yesterday, not bad.
