Tommy Craggs, the executive editor of Gawker Media, and Max Read, the editor-in-chief of Gawker.com, said in letters to staff that the managing partnership’s vote to remove the controversial post had undermined the editorial independence and integrity of the publication.
Hey guys, get a load of this dumbass. He thought Gakwer had integrity.

Gawker Media writers are literally having the worst day of their life right now. Literally.
You’d think they’d at least go on strike for Craggs and Read, considering they just formed a union.

Wow, Craggs and Read will never work in a editorial position ever again after their little pissy “resignation” letters.
They both proved that they should have NEVER been in that position in the first place.

If he still doesn’t see what the problem was with the article they posted, there’s something seriously wrong with this guy.

I can’t believe Gawker pulled the article because their revenue stream was going to start running dry it’s like they’re a for-profit company or something what happened to journalistic integrity fuck this I’ll go work somewhere with real journalistic integrity, like VICE.

Lol. Gawker is like a bizzaro version of HuffPo, but pandering to tabloid morons and internet vigilantes.

Wouldn’t they have had to have been fired or asked to get some work done to prompt a strike?

If you say so. The other way to look at it is that they’ve generated a ton of publicity and attention, which is what their jobs kind of are.

I am literally LOLing at every Gawkerite using words like “editor”, “integrity”, “independence”, etc. Do they really think their snark and political cheerleading are taken seriously as journalism, or is it a giant case of act-as-if?

They keep comparing it to Buzzfeed, which pulled good articles that criticized advertisers, not articles that should have never been posted at all.

Hahahaha
Holy shit, I’ve been working on a general rant about the immaturity of the internet all day, just posted it, and now this.
Denton needs to go. Fuck, Biddle as well. Some of these people need a swift kick in the head.

I love how the outrage leading to their resignations isn’t over the fact that the site knowingly published an article as part of a blackmail scheme but the fact that said article got pulled.
INTEGRITY! JOURNALISM!
