Even though my car smells perfectly fine, I always keep an air freshener of sorts in my A4 just for the hell of it.
I usually have one of these in the mesh pocket behind the drivers seat. I’ll do a Febreeze vent clip from time to time also.
So what does Oppo use?

I don't think I've ever put an air freshener in my car. Mostly because it smells like old leather in there and I love that smell for some reason.

The A4 smells lightly of old leather, but I prefer the smell of “linen and sky.”

I have never put one of those in my car. I kindof think they are gross. I generally associate them with people with dirty cars (I am aware this is a bias)

Meh, my car is nowhere near dirty though. I baby the hell out of it and keeping it smelling fresh is just part of that.

None. I hate most air fresheners, especially those little cardboard tree ones, and especially “New Car Scent”.
To each their own.
At least yours are hidden in the seats, and not in a massive glob of every scent hanging from the rearview.

Haha, I remember the TGUK episode where Jeremy had a dead cow on the roof of his Camaro and had like a couple million of them in there.

I hate air fresheners so very much. My car mostly smells of various vehicle fluids and mud.

When I used to detail cars, I’d see this fairly often.

Isn’t that Jeep’s formula for “new car smell”?

Good God, haha. Every single taxi has to have at least four of them floating around somewhere.

Nope nope nope nope nope. Can’t stand the smell of air fresheners, whether they be in a house or in a car. That said, I exhibit James May levels of fastidiousness about keeping the interior of my car clean and free of anything that might smell.
The interior of my Scirocco smelled pretty funky when I got it, but after I sprayed everything down with Febreze a couple of times, and aired it out, it became a lot more bearable. I’d actually much rather the smell of a slightly musty old car interior than a pungent and artificial-smelling air freshener.

Either new car smell or the vanilla if I feel exciting. ..
I keep them tucked in my map pockets on my seats though.
usually they come out after I pick up a pizza or some other smelly takeout.

I’m with you on that one partially. I keep a damn clean car if I don’t say so myself, nothing extra in the cabin and I clean the interior down every week or whenever needed. I started using air fresheners since I was getting a bit of a musty smell as you mentioned, but stepped it up a little bit because the new rubber floormats I bought were very pungent.

This.
The previous owner left it in and I kept it.
I’m such a lazy f*ck. After the trip to Norway - when we basically will have lived two weeks in the car - I will - Oppo is my witness - clean up my car meticulously and I will finally throw away this nasty device which is hanging there smoked by the previous owner...

I use a Bounce fabric softener sheet. One, who doesn’t like the smell of freshly washed clothes. Secondly, it’s not so strong it’s unbearable the first 3 days like an air freshener, and then undetectable after a week. Third, it costs like 3 cents.

New rubber floormats, on hot days they smell like piss.
