I saw this one last weekend. More pics of other cars to come, but this seemed a good time to share this one in all its patinated glory.

I do not see too many Allards in my day to day.

It was definitely the car of the show for me. This is a really cool little annual European car show we have, but it’s mostly the usual suspects year after year, so when something new and amazing rolls in it’s pretty special.

That’s a beauty!

Nor do I, but both Allard and Kurtis cars have captivated me since childhood so it was really, really cool to see.

There is a European car show around here?

Every July, the Gathering of Friends at Laguna Lake park. Pretty cool little show, not too official.

Seriously? Never heard of it. I feel the car culture here is lacking in advertising for itself... Idk, maybe I just miss hearing about it.

Usually they distribute flyers to shops, but we didn’t even see them this year so I’d forgotten about it until someone mentioned it on the Friday prior. It’s more or less organized by the rich old guy’s coffee club and supported by Smith Volvo/SGS Porsche, British Sports Cars, and XKs Unlimited. It was a little weird this year, but still a fair turnout.

That’s odd. I love those shops mostly cause they were helping me out when I was able to be working on my Sprite (work has stopped for a while) never noticed info there. Hopefully I’ll be able to find out more for next year.
