So I decided to host a Fourza Series, S Class AWD and FWD Hatchbacks.

Kinja'd!!!

The rules are going to be pretty simple:

Cars can be built to an S Class PI of 698, NOT 700, to prevent people from selling out and buying their tuning setups.

The car must be listed as “Hatchback” under Body Style in the game, and must be AWD or FWD, Drivetrain swaps are encouraged.

The only assists that will be allowed will be clutch and ABS, transmission will be manual only. No driving lines will be allowed

I haven’t decided on the tracks yet, but they will be the tighter, more technical tracks.

No BoP. Run what ya brung up to PI 698.

I have no intention of interfering with the Classis LeMans or Grand AM series so I was thinking about hosting this series every Sunday night at maybe 7 P.M. EST..

Take it or leave it. But I have been curious what would happen with no assists and no BoP, let’s see what happens when the nannies are turned off.

Also, the same general driving etiquette rules apply as the other racing series, especially the rules about punting someone off the track. If you punt them, you wait for them.

Update: Series will be Friday nights at 8.

Another Update: During practice earlier tonight, someone had built a Ford Fiesta but couldn’t select it for the lobby because it wasn’t classified as a “Hatchback”. This brought up a pretty good point, and that point is that Turn 10 has some screwy classification of cars sometimes. So I have decided to include what would be “common sense” categorized at Hatchbacks.

Therefore the following cars are now eligible in addition to all cars categorized as “Hatchback”.

Abarth: 500 Esseesse

Aston Martin: Cygnet

Audi: RS3 Sportback

Chevrolet: Spark

Citroen: All

Ford: Fiesta, Ka

Honda: Fit, CRX

Hyundai: IX20

Lexus:Ct200H

Mazda:2, Axela, Speed 3

Mercedes: A200

Nissan: Micra, Versa

Peugeot: 107

Renault: Twingo

Saab: 99 Turbo

Scion: XD

Subaru: ‘08 STi

Toyota: Aygo, Yaris S

Vauxhall: Agila

VW: Fox

I really like the idea of this series, sign me up. Question though: are we only doing street cars or are the Super 2000 Peugeot and Seat and the like allowed as well?

I specifically included FWD so the Seat would qualify. And ANY car designated as hatchback is eligible. Lastly, the 698 PI is because the max PI build for those two cars is 699 in S class.

Also could we host this series on Friday instead of Sunday? We’d have racing over the whole weekend instead of cramming two series back-to-back on the same day. Just a thought.

Yeah, I can do that. Is one of the series on Sunday?

Rob’s Continental Tire races are at 4:30. Maybe a late Friday night time (like 8 or 9) would be best since it gives people time to get home from work and have dinner and stuff. I dunno, your series, your rules man.

Also you could repost this thread during a higher-traffic time like tomorrow morning or evening so more people can see it; seems like after 9 or 10 activity dies way down on here.

Ok, Friday at 8 sounds good. What’s the easiest way to repost?

What I do is just change the post time, not actually repost the thing from the drop-down menu. Either works I guess.

Wish I could take part in these but I would useless in a race at 3 in the morning and my 360 is packed away. Oh well, I have to stick the jackasses on Forza 5 & 6 and just hope to get a good race.

EXTREEEEEEMMMEEE

Please advise: all assists off... does this mean NO RACING LINE NOR BRAKING LINE (please please please, because lines have ruined online racing) and hopefully fixed to cockpit view?

Also, I’m not up on all the hipster lingo lately... BoP?

P.S.: I can read, it turns out...

P.P.S.: Please sign me up. Also, no idea if any of these fellows are on my friends list... can I get a gamertag to send a friend invite to? Alternatively: I am ACESandELGHTS (note spelling). Thanks.

The car must be listed as “Hatchback” under Body Style in the game, and must be AWD or FWD, Drivetrain swaps are encouraged.

BTW, the way the game handles this stuff is kind of fucked up. It classifies some hatchbacks as wagons, such as the ‘08 Subaru STi and the ‘10 Mazda Speed 3.

I understand that, but the body style must be listed as hatchback.

Personally, I use only cockpit view. I require it in my drag racing series. Seems more realistic that way, but obviously in circuit racing, its can be difficult to tell where other cars are located on the track in relation to your car, for some.

BoP, is Balance of Performance; meaning to add upgrades to the car to meet a specific lap time. We allow it in some series because due to the disparity in driver skills, some guys would drive off and leave everyone if we had the same PI. This allows slow guys (like myself) to compensate by adding extra performance and PI to the tune, which makes the races much closer, and ultimately much more FUN!

I would love to take part in this series but it’d be a super late one for me :/
