I’ve heard the MK1 was purposely made not as good as it could be in order not to sabotage sales of VAGs other small sporty cars.

Welcome back TFritch. So my roommate has a mk1 3.2 quattro convo that has a very leaky trans-axle. The shop he took it to first said it had become porous and they wanted to send him to the dealer. I told him to check you guys out (assuming by the building and having delivered parts to a certain autoshop that I believe to be the one you work at). Anyways, just a heads up. You going to donuts this Saturday?

Just checked him in, sounds like he’s been more or less fed bullshit so far so hopefully we can get it sorted. I’m a little worried about the potential water damage to the electricals, but we’ll see what we find.

Yeah, that’s what I thought. Normally a casting wouldn’t become porous after that length of time. The electronic stuff always kinda freaks me out. Sucks so much. Thank you. Some point, if we both make it to a donuts, I’ll buy you a thank you coffee.
