Wow! That brings back some memories.
When I was a kid our family did a nice road trip to the central Europe. While we were there we went to a lake in Germany. The lake had a nice beach but I was very surprised that you had to pay to visit a lake.
When I was playing on the the beach I happened to look away from the lake and noticed that a Tornado fighter jet was approaching the lake really low just above the tree line. There was only second or two to spot it before it was already over the beach. It was going so fast that it didn’t make a sound when it was still approaching the beach. But when the noise hit the beach it was the loudest thing that I had witnessed at that point.
They might have been doing that every day so locals might have gotten used to it but probably all tourists were really frightened about the noise. I think it was truly awesome moment.
