I think its time to get rid of the stock (and horrible) sound system in the FR-S, and wanted some opinions as I am not into audio as much as I used to be. I liked what I heard of the Focal speakers and I am feeling lazy and plan on just letting the shop do this round.

Note, the Amp is actually supposed to be a 5 way... And the sub is intentionally small and mobile.

Pick whatever sounds good to you. That’s all that matters in the end.
It does seem like they're really soaking you for the install though. I'm sure it is really not hard and I bet there's tons of guides for doing it for that car. Any reason you don't want to DIY it?

99% of my tools are 5 hours away, the plastics look like a pain in the ass and I hate running wire (for the sub) so I just figured, eh lets be lazy on this one.
I am sort of hoping if I knock it out in one go they’ll drop a couple installs. I mean what shop would turn down $3k on the last day of the month to drop a couple minor labor charges?
For car audio, I think it sounds good. I just want to make sure I didn’t miss anything big (was originally going to start with JBL gx602 for the front and the dash but this one big go seems so much easier and the sound much fuller / predictable than having to adjust setup as I go.

Where do those 3.5” speakers go? If you’ve got the room and dont’ mind a bit of surgery upgrading those to 6” would probably make a nice difference.
yeah It would be decent of them to give you a break on installation since you’re buying all the gear from them. For they 556$ they want to change you to install you could buy a lot of nice tools and beer to do it yourself if you’ve got a free weekend and some space.
I agree installing the system you’ve got picked out is going to mean pretty thoroughly tearing the car apart if you do it all at once.

The 3.5s go in the dash, with the 1” tweeters. The 4s go in the back and the 6.5s in the door. Only the doors look easy to do without risking the platic’s finish. But for $600 it is tempting to do it, just not sure I want to, lol.
