Just purchased a 2004 Lexus gx 470. So far I’m extremely excited to own such an awesome car. Drives great and has a great road presence. Has a few issues but nothing too difficult. So far the only thing I’ve noticed is the power mirrors seem stuck. They work but not well, the windows all work but don’t go down from the drivers control panel. Also the rear Ac is blowing warm. The front Ac works great just the rear is warm. I understand it’s an 11 year old car and it’s going to need some work but for the most part it’s a solid car.

Windows just need re-programming...

step 1: with the button on the door for the window you want (ie left rear door, button on THAT door) make sure the window is all the way up

Step 2:Push and hold the button in the down position. continue to hold for 5 seconds after the window has gone the full way down. release.

Step 3: Push and hold the button in the up position. Continue to hold for 5 seconds after the window is the full way up

Window is now reprogrammed. should work from driver control panel. repeat for each door.

also, if the the GX is like the LX, it will have dual zone climate, and you’ll need to select rear to control the temp in the back.

Thanks for the help. The window reprogram worked like a charm. It fixed the sunroof also which wasn’t one touch before. Not sure about the rear Ac. Played with it a little more and it’s blowing the same temperature on hot and cold setting. It’s almost like the blower is working but isn’t getting any coolant or heat. I’ve read this is a common problem and might be an rear expansion valve.
