Did the early 2000’s 4 cylinder Honda’s have the same rate of transmission failure as the 6 cylinder?

No. The reason is because their V6 engines grew bigger and more powerful while their gearboxes generally stayed the same.

Undersized clutches on Minis, transmissions insufficient to handle an upgraded engine ... why do manufacturers bring this sort of grief on themselves?
