My friend is in Europe. I am in Australia. We get a lot of different cars in Aus, but there are also plenty we don’t get. So I told my friend to snap me some cars he thought we didn’t have here. Along with a Dacia and a Twingo, he sent me this. It’s making me crazy! I’ve seen the badge before but I just can’t place it! I’ve done all the googling ever... Help me oppo?

That’s a Fiat badge from either a Bravo, Brava or Marea.

I DIDN’T EVEN CONSIDER FIAT! I was looking at Citroen and Renault and Peugeot and Alpine and and and everything except Fiat!
What a strange badge. Why doesn’t it show up on
this search
until right down the page? Did they use it for only a few years?

The badge is a stylish interpretation of FIATs logo of the era

Yes, it didn’t have a long life and they reverted to a version of the previous badge.

Hey, before you go telling your mate its a a Marea, take another look. It’s a face lifted Bravo or Brava. You can tell by looking at the strips on the bumper as the Bravo/Brava has them on the side and the Marea has them in the center. Also the facelift Bravo has chrome trims whereas the the Marea has a largerngrille with a black border. Check the pics further up for reference

It was on that list, about half way down the page.

I thought they used it for quite a few years? It’s all a bit confusing, but it definitely goes back at least as far as the first-gen Panda, and I think maybe a while before that.

They used it for a few years, yes. A few years isn’t long given how long Fiat have been in business!

Yeah but it really was so far down

No, I meant in that context. Didn’t they use the badge for 20-30 years? Maybe it was only 10-15. Not really a long life by Fiat standards - obvious reliability jokes aside - but still quite a while.
Could be I’m just confused, though.

I see. My friend doesn’t care, it’s all for me. I can’t believe there’s this whole sub-group of cars I’ve never heard of...
