I’m a big Forza fan but honestly I pretty much never go on their website. Well thanks to search suggestions that will change. Turns out they have been revealing the car list bit by bit which is nice of them. I look forward to taking a Hellcat swapped Willy’s Jeep around a wet Brands Hatch.

I fucking hate pre-order bonus content and locking stuff behind exclusive membership in previous games.
Everyone should have every car available to them.

Most of the stuff doesn’t matter since it is Team Forza stuff. The only thing which is annoying is the VIP pack. I’m pretty sure Forza invented day one DLC with the VIP packs and while it doesn’t effect me per say, it is still annoying.

It makes me fucking angry. Give people sweet custom paint jobs, or in-game credits. Locking cool cars behind an arbitrary pay-wall pisses me off to no end.
I am moving further and further away from upgrading to a next-gen console. Between BS like this and all the dumbass shit Bungie is doing with Destiny, I really am thinking I might just be done with all of this.

So about 33 new cars so far. Mind you, all I did was search the page for 2014, 2015 and 2016 and only count 1 Formula E car (they’re all the same this year right? Just different stickers?). If you count all the Formula E cars, its ~43 new cars. Not too bad. Also ~30 of the total cars are either season pass cars, customer loyalty bonuses or preorder bonuses. All of which is a nice chunk of horseshit, but that’s the way of the industry now.

Makes me wonder whether or not it will ever stop. I was hoping that something had to give but seeing people defend the $40 Destiny restoration patch, I just don’t see it.

Not quite. Only 5 of them are actually behind a paywall those being the VIP cars. The other cars are Team Forza cars which are just cars that are in the game already but you get them immediately with a Forza decal pack.

A lot people only play one game and will pour a never ending stream of money into it. Look at how well Mobas are doing. I know people who have put thousands of pounds into DOTA.

Those people have an addiction and need help. Says the guy who complains incessantly about Destiny, and yet I still play several times a week.

The VIP car pack is a direct extra cost. The 5 reward cars are behind an indirect paywall; unless I’m misunderstanding, you have to have played the other games to get those. Which cost or will cost money to accomplish. And those aren’t just Forza livery cars either. That’s the only way to get them. The two worst are the two VIP reward cars; not only have you had to play those games, but you have to have been VIP.
I was on the fence about Sixza. After seeing this, I’m definitely not getting it. I’m done supporting these practices of carving out parts of games to entice preorders and sell overpriced DLC. And what can they have improved in two years time that makes this game worth over $100 (if you want the full game)? Day night cycle? No thanks. I’ll check back in two years.

Well I don’t know if this will change your mind but I shall clear up a few things about the bonuses.
Any car in the list with either reward or Team Forza will be in the game for anyone to use.
Team Forza cars are pretuned cars with a vinyl which you get immediately in your career mode to use. Reward cars are linked to Forza rewards and the higher your tier the more cars you get. Like the Team Forza cars these cars are immediately added to your career garage. Rather than cutting off content it is just a time skip.
The VIP cars are cars which are cut off unless you pay. So out of Forza 6’s 450+ cars only 5 will behind a paywall but those 5 cars are bloody nice especially the F1 GT.

I understand all of what you explained. I bought Fiveza, VIP, season pass, day one edition preorder. I’m talking about cars 2-6 on the list you posted. All of those require you having played prior games. Two of those five require you having been VIP in two prior games. I’d probably get every single car on this list that’s not VIP or exclusive to other retailers from where I bought it. It’s just the principle of it all that pisses me off. It’s one thing to lock people out of cars because you’re money hungry (still a shitty practice). It’s another to lock people out of cars because they are new to the series.
Two years between releases for hardly any new cars is not worth another $120 for the full experience. Nor is it worth $60 base to me just for day night cycles.
I’m not hating on people who are going to buy this. I used to do the Call of Duty every year thing. I’ve since gone to skipping them until there is a big change in gameplay style (vis-a-vis Advanced Warfare). But this game just isn’t worth it to me. Like I said, I’ll check back in 2017 with Forza 7 and see what they added.

Cars 2-6 are reward cars. In this case you need to have either played the previous games or own the VIPVIP for those games. When you boot up Forza 6 those cars will immediately added to your garage for those who have earned them everyone else will have to earn them the normal way.
Trust me I have checked this in depth. The ONLY cars you will have to pay real money to get access to are the VIP cars. All the other cars on that list are available to everyone.

Not so happy about how all the good cars are VIP and in the Ten Year car pack, but knowing me I’ll probably end up giving in and getting Forza 6 anyway.

The ten year car pack doesn’t matter but since those are all Team Forza cars which are just reskins of cars already in the game but the VIP pack is annoying. Why the F1 GT? Any car but that.

If there is no E46 M3 CSL I may burn Turn 10 studios down, or at the very least redo the audio on the regular E46 because it sounds so bland in Fiveza.

At least with FH2, the VIP cars are ones I can live without, but with this…I can’t live without the Speciale and GT350, personally.

Nope. It sounds like you are upset that a game about cars has cars in it.
