.....walks out of Walmart with $75,000

Kinja'd!!!

Authorities say the suspect entered the Walmart store in Bristow about 10:30 a.m. Saturday, walked to the cash office, signed for the deposit and walked out of the store. He drove away in a dark four-door Chevrolet.

“He came to the Walmart kind of dressed like a Loomis armored car driver,” Williams said. Walmart employees called police after the real Loomis employee arrived about 45 minutes later.

Here is an image of driver uniforms from the Loomis website. Close enough?

That’s pretty slick. That’s a LOT more than you’d haul from a bank. Plus...45 minute head start. Mexico = yes.

Used to do finance / ops for one of the largest armed car companies. You’d be surprised with how stupid / bad they all are. This unfortunately isn’t all that surprising.

I like the part where the Walmart did ABSOLUTELY NO security checks when this guy wandered in....let alone the fact THEY DIDN’T EVEN CHECK IF THERE WAS AN ARMORED TRUCK OUTSIDE. He drove away in a Malibu.....

Ha!! Fools ive worked with a company that used Dunbar before, they need a key to your safe that you open so even if you can open the safe, the deposits are not available. All of the deposits are scanned and processed in the office and you are given a tallied receipt. What a fool that person was not even getting a deposit receipt!

Surprisingly typical for there to be lax security. I’m sure the Walmart employees didn’t have any reason to suspect that anything was different than normal.

Maybe so, but you’d think there’d be at least some basic protocol for double-checking....I mean, $75,000 is a lot of money to just walk out with and there wasn’t even a van in the parking lot (and usually they pull right up to a door somewhere). Crazy stuff...

Too bad he tried to fly out of Richmond International. The TSA and DEA were all over this and seized the $75k.

God please, please let somebody recreate that heist in GTA V. Hear that, Rockstar?!? That is pure gold heist material right here!

Can somebody recreate that? Is it possible for us to program an heist? ‘Cause that would be aweseome!

You have to:

-Buy and wear the outfit;

-Get a crappy getaway car handy;

-Avoid being seen by the armored truck personel en route to heist;

-Keep your cool about it while the store employees hand you the goods;

-Drive away in an inconspicuous manner.

Pretty close but his clothes are opposite of their uniforms. And he’s just wearing a modern style ammo belt. Not to mention no official markings

Walmart employees aren't known for being the sharpest.
