Really? My neighbor across the street pointed to my house and you just straight up toss my package back into your van and drive off? Urgh.
For the tl;dr, was expecting a shipment of books to arrive Monday and found out from my long-time neighbor that the USPS man showed up to her doorstep when it was clearly marked for my address and honestly - our house numbers can be seen anywhere on the street!
To the mailman, you better hope I don’t demand a reprimand.

Thats nothing, the guy that handles the mail in my building decide to refuse delivery of an important international contract because he ran out of mail-form paper.

You know, I’m already devising an idea of a proper courier service, but then I remind myself of the potential drawbacks.

Maybe everything could be as automated as possible, with bar codes and just a few humans to keep things afloat, just like a car factory.

I ordered something for my girls car off Rockauto. Fedex delivered it. Well it was the only place I could find it for a reasonable price.
3 weeks later, mind you after I paid for 2 day shipping.
By that point Rockauto sent another with overnight shipping since they even figured it was lost. I sent it back to them and told the Fedex dude to just piss off.
The sad part, tracking showed it getting to my local FedEx office in time but then 3 weeks of it sitting there.
So now I refuse to use Fedex. To the point I’d pay a little more for something to use UPS or the post office.
This isn’t my first time with Fedex issues. I hate them and don’t even use them.
Fedex customer service couldn’t even provide a reason for it either. I have a credit for alot of free shipping but I don’t know how to use it.

Our postal carriers are terrible. The previous homeowner has been gone for eight years and we still get mail for them. We have told the post office not to deliver their stuff to us numerous times, and it still shows up. We mark it ‘return to sender’, and it shows up in our mailbox again 3 days later.
We request that mail not be delivered when we go on vacation, and it gets stuffed into our mailbox in the middle of the vacation, along with angry notes that we have too much stuff in our mailbox.
Our mail has, on numerous occasions, been delivered to other streets . My gf was waiting on medication at one point, and it showed up two streets over. The recipient kindly brought it to us and left it in our mailbox with a note, but that very easily could’ve gone to someone else who wouldn’t have been so kind.
The post office is nothing but a make-work program for the lazy and illiterate, I’m convinced.

FedEx is terrible. I’ll pass on buying something if it’s shipped fedex and I can get it some other way. Similar stories to yours, delivered to the wrong addresses, etc.

Needless to say, its stupid ass BMW Mini parts. Sigh, everything is ridiculous for that car. It’s fun to drive but if it breaks so does my wallet.
Same parts for her car vs my DD is stupid. A tierod end is like 300 bucks for the mini, for my little Honda its 70 . I think I talked her into a cheaper to maintain car after she is done with that mini pooper.
UPS has fucked me too, but their fuck ups are rare. Then when they do, I get an apology note from the driver, office, customer service and an email. Although I have a UPS account. I sometimes need to divert a shipment while its en route to my office so it doesn’t ruin the surprise.

Another thing is the drivers. I’ve seen more than one FedEx truck laying on it’s side, making illegal u-turns, left lane hogging, and other general asshattery, but have yet to see a UPS truck in a similar fashion. I’ve heard some horror stories about UPS, but have yet to experience any myself, so it may be a regional thing. It just seems like UPS is a better run company/has better quality employees/people that care.

Well I do know that some Fedex drivers dont actually work for them, they work for some contractor doing Fedex’s job.
The contractor owns the trucks, and hires the people. Then just give someone a Fedex uniform, truck and a bunch of boxes.
The Fedex guy at my office is like that. He works for some company who gets paid by Fedex.

USPS is a joke. I have, on multiple occasions, received letters over a month after it was sent. The last package I had go through them (I mistakenly Had sent to my previous address), they proceeded to attempt to deliver it to that address (Cincinnati) and then for some reason to Detroit several times before returning to sender a month later. I'm not sure what postal employees do all day, but they don't do their jobs very often.
