I was not aware it was avaialble in such an acceptable colour, I thought they were all coloured like 1970s kitchen appliances

I guess this one escaped the plant! To make up for it, the interior is 100% 70’s brown.

I’m a Bricklin star, in a Bricklin car,

It’s made of plastic - it’s fantastic!..

The above would be funnier if the Bricklin itself were singing, but I couldn’t make the lyrics work right.

This book actually goes in a fair amount of detail regarding the Bricklin SV-1 since Malcolm Bricklin is the same genius con man who gave us the Yugo.

Did you know the Bricklin wasn’t painted? They actually tinted the plastic during molding to give it it’s colour just like they do on the smart car.

Someone has imported an SV-1 to Finland too. It was displayed in a big car show in May. It looked pretty horrible as the paint was really worryingly cracked from many places. I guess the body has deformed for some reason.

If you are wondering what’s behind that’s a locally rebodied BMW 528i (e12).

For some reason? That’s not the paint cracking that’s the body panels themselves. It’s a type of plastic.

I meant the reason why the body has gone bad is unknown. My guess is that it might be because it was stored in bad conditions. What ever they might be...

Even the hood of the white one seems to have some kind of deformation going on so it might a common problem with these.
