So my brother decided that today would be a good day to begin the end of his corolla, mostly because death was imminent. Throughout the day he sideswiped trees, backed into things, and general full bore hooning happened. For the grand finale we rolled it into some trees and eventually missed and had it roll a little too far off the road to move out under its own power.........I just enjoy the fact that I can do these things. The only real problem with this is the tow truck wont make it up our road so they have to take an alternate route which cost more.
I’ve come to terms with the fact that Im a hillbilly.

Im guessing thats sarcasm, would you really want a corolla that eats a quart every 500 miles. It cant handle being in a city enviroment for more than 20 minutes. Its cracked window was overshadowed by its sawsalled front and rear bumpers and its needed a new head, valve, and oilpan gasket. The suspension was tracking all on its own(almost dangerously) it also needed new bushing, antiroll bars, bearings, and struts. Almost forgot that it needs a new clutch slave, engine mounts, and internal hydraulics. There were more problems aswell..... So yes its good we didnt contribute to donations, and we did try to sell it.

I was kidding—the condition of the car was pretty evident from your post. Still, scrapping it would’ve made him money rather than losing some. That list of problems could certainly drive someone to such frustration, though...

If you were really a hillbilly you’d leave it right there.

it was worth more undamaged. The fun you had may well have been worth more than the value of the car, but don’t kid youself in to thinking tearing it up didn’t cost you money.

When the wallet opens im not thinking;” Wow I really made some money.” as I hand over $200. I dont know if you’ve ever destroyed a car for fun(after using it and determining that its done fer) but its well worth the money.
Scraping a car isnt something that pays unless I go Well out of my way at which point it becomes nearly worthless due to finding a ride home, gas, effort, and time.

I agree, it may well been worth it in entertainment value, but your earlier post was seemed to me to try and justify tearing it up on an economics.....which could also pay off if post a video to youtube.
Anyway, it’s you brother car, and it’s not rare, I see no harm.
