To help you celebrate Independence Day, have this huge Russian* AN-124!
*So apparently Antonov is a Ukranian bureau, and this one belongs to Ukraine also. The tail number looks like UR-82009, spotted at my local airport. The mirage was pretty brutal and I was pretty far away, but I did the best I could with a 200mm telephoto. Hat tip to my friend Joseph who called me with the spot!

Where the hell is your “local airport?”
Also, An-124s are always and will always be Ukrainian.

I saw a “Ruslan” at an air show about two years ago, and it wasn’t even fenced off. This thing is massive. I mean, I stood right next to pretty big planes (E-3 AWACS, B-52, C-17), but none of them come close.

I was about to say. What local airport has a runway long enough to cater to the An-124. lol
I’d love to see one. It’s a fantastic airplane.

We’ve had the 225 at that airport too. I got pretty close to that one, it's unreal. Like seeing a cruise ship at port

I would have died.
That is the unicorn of unicorns. There literally is only one.

Cool, didn’t know Antonov was a Ukranian design bureau. Thanks!
