If not, what would you choose over these for ~$200k?
Enough trunk space for things larger than a designer handbag: check
Unicorn points: check
Can track day: check
Can autocross: check
Can rallycross: check
Can cruise the PCH with top down/windows open, enjoying the breeze: um.....
Can fly? CAN FLY!

Well shit for 200K I could build a bonkers Stratos replica with a Ferrari or Alfa (smarter) motor.

Am I doing it right? You even have enough money for bail (the first time)

I guess I’m boring, but I’d get a C7 for $70k, a house for $100k, and invest the rest before dropping it on one car.

What if you had to spend it all on one car?

I’m pretty sure that those wouldn’t be road legal here in Finland. Maybe in UK but not here.
Maybe some vintage grand prix racer would the best road legal car but $200,000 would be way too little for a Bugatti or Alfa Romeo. Maybe it would be enough for this ‘32 Darracq (it was sold years ago for $100,000).
sm70- why not Duesenberg?

The Fiesta definitely is legal on British roads. Registered licence plate and made in Cockermouth, England.

I agree.
Range Rovers are the best.

Great news! They’re totally road legal in Finland, and there are even a few Finns who have one of these in their garage.

Could you purchase a 991 C4 and have enough left over for a Rothmans rally lift conversion?

For about $250,000 you could get a Pur Sang replica/re-creation.

So do they have standard fiesta 3 point belts in addition to a race harness? From what I can tell, race belts are not DOT or ECE approved for street use. I’ve been wondering this and I was planning on keeping the factory belts in the e36 in addition to the race belts

How/where do you actually buy these?

Nope. But none of the licensed and registered rally cars I’ve seen do. And yet they (most of them) go through and pass inspection every year. Don’t know how, but they do.

The Pur Sang replicas are slightly problematic as here the technical regulation depend when the vehicle was in road use for the first time. It doesn’t much matter if it looks old or is a accurate replica of an old car.
So if the replica’s papers say that it was first time registered in 2008 (for example) registering it here would be nearly impossible and there’s of course the import taxes that might be really awful too. But if the replica would have been registered before mid 80’s it would be really easy to register here and taxes would be only couple of thousand euros.

You’d still have to have different springs / dampeners. Smaller brakes for the smaller wheels so you can fit proper tires onto.
