I’m considering taking the Silverado on trails. Not insane technical trails, because it’s not a Jeep, but something beyond a graded dirt road. So therefore I’m a lunatic. Should I do this?

Nothing wrong with a little light off roadin’. It is either that or you could find something to pull out of the ground or tow something large.

My brother used to do it often in his ‘04-ish 1500 with the off road package.

Of course you should. Carry some loppers with you. If you get in a tight area and there is tree stuff, like limbs, sticking out, you can cut them off so they don’t scratch your paint.

Tis so scratched anyway from having 300+K miles on the clock that it likely wouldn’t matter that much...
