I wanted to find out if my truck was manufactured on my birthday, turns out it was manufactured 21 days after I was born. Oh well, I did find some interesting info out though. It has the super cooling package, which means its supposed to have a heavy duty fan clutch. I wonder if the fan clutch was ever replaced with a non-HD clutch and thats why its locking up for way too long. Im ordering an HD clutch because my fan is horribly cracked and Im replacing it, so it’ll have to come off anyway and its only $30 on RockAuto. So we’ll see about that theory in the coming weeks. It also said I had a front license plate bracket, I wonder where that went.

My Ford truck predates Marti reports for anything but Thunderbirds. *sad trombone*

My car was built on December 6, 1993, according to Carfax. I was born one year and two days later.

I was born August 4th, 1993. So seeing that my truck was manufactured on August 25th, 1993 was kind of a bummer

Most of that info you can get for free though.

I was getting all excited, wanting to go and see what my Ranger’s VIN is (very strangely, I don’t have it written down already), only to find out it was $46. I understand that it’s information, but 200+ page books that I can keep for years cost a third of that price. Same thing goes for CarFax; if there were a bunch of ads along the sides of the CarFax reports so that they could be for free, I’d be happy.
