I’ve decided to do a sea foam treatment on my car, but I’m unsure on which one to use. The spray or the liquid? Which one cleans more and performs better? Can I just split up the liquid 1/3 in each of the crankcase, fuel tank, and vacuum hose? Or do I need to do 1oz./gal fuel, 1.5oz./quart oil, and just some in the hose? Or should I just make it more simple and use the spray right into the throttle body?
Please share your experiences with it to help me out! I’d like to get this done by the end of the day!
Oh, and post lots of pictures of Vipers because today is the most important day in the history....................OF THE WOOOOOORRRRRRLLLLLLLDDDDD!!!!!!!!
Haha, thanks guys!!!

All of the above, just to be thorough.
Anecdotally, I’ve noticed the best results with my own, acquaintances’, and customers’ cars being the vacuum tube spray, as it gets right in there, is immediately obvious that it is in play, and results can be almost instantly realized, depending on the vehicle, engine condition, and how effective the chemicals are allowed to be. When I’ve added SF to my fuel I forget it’s there and then wonder why my exhaust fumes are more noticeable and smellier until I remember.

Happy birthday!
Here is my method.
Only use ATF in the crankcase to clean that up, you can leave that in there for a change or 2. Half a quart does wonders.
Seafoam (from the bottle) to the vac system only
Techron in the tank

I think the spray would work best on fuel injected cars. I would just spray it thru the throttle body. Don’t put it in the oil unless you are about to change the oil anyway.

I’m fond of the Chinese water torture method. The person listing the recipe has a Miata and two Volvos and performs it regularly on all three. I’ve used it on multiple cars and it works wonders.

Use the liquid and follow the instructions on the can. It’s super easy and hard to fuck up :)

There's a spray version now? I've always used the traditional liquid form via gas tank or brake booster.

I recently used the spray in type on the Stringbean. Had my phone connected to the obd-II to keep my revs up while spraying it in. Let it sit. Cut it back on and Fwoooom! Big white clouds pouring out. Idle smoothed out like butter after that.

Ok, so it sounds like it really isn’t much help in the fuel tank. What about the crankcase?

Cool, had not heard of that before

Thanks man! Is that your pic? It’s really good!

Don’t use it in the crankcase, I’ve heard many people say. It will loosen old deposits and send them circulating through the oil system apparently which is not really what you want. It’s best used through the intake or through the fuel system.

Ok cool. I’m probably going to have to get the oil changed kinda soon. How long before would I put it in the oil?

Yeah, you spray it right into the throttle body. I think its only like $2 more

Sounds simple enough

Something I’ve read which is supposed to work is to do several low-mile oil changes. Since modern oils contain detergents which are supposed to clean the engine anyway, doing several 1000 mile oil changes in a row is supposed to result in a gradual cleaning of the crankcase.

all of the little blue ones are the same just repackaged/stickered. Same goes for the larger gray ones - had one and it stopped connecting to my car after a year. I’d go blue. Also don’t forget to disconnect it or it will kill your battery over the weekend.

I don’t think there’s a definite answer but personally I don’t think I would drive over 200 miles with it in there. Anything broken loose should be caught by the oil filter, but who knows what it does to the viscosity.
