Any Oppos into the nautical lifestyle? I can say I’ve ever seen a boat post, even though technically not a car. But mu wife’s boat has a V8 in it and has a wonderful growl. I wasn’t into going on the lake till we started dating, but damn is it fun and relaxing.

Boatlopnik is, in fact, the right category. Hammerhead Fistpunch actually had a question on propellor replacement recently - posts on boat things are scarce, but they do happen.

I like boats. I have a general idea on how to sail and I know how to drive and dock a boat.

My family had a Riva Olympic before the 2007-08 crisis, boats are cool, really miss having one.

It’s been asked more than a few times, but the blog never exists. it’s just a keyword search.

I live on water and mowed all of the lawn in my neighborhood for a year when I was 12 to buy an old Cape Dory Alberg Typhoon for a grand that I still have.

I hit the lake just about every weekend - my friend has this Master Craft with a cadillac V8, rear weight ballast and wake tower. Well worth the 1.5 hour haul west of Denver.

It was painful not having the boat for months. We were out of town and the starter went bad. Hope you can get another!

I thought it was crazy at first the travel lanes. Seems like something’s coming at you often then another, then another. And you’re alive and not hit.

Nah, those things are super expensive now, they appreciated a lot in recent year. And my parents are old and uninterested, and I’m too poor to afford one.

That thing is sweet. Hopefully a wake tower is in my future so I can actually try wakeboarding.

Yup. Boaters have a much better grasp on things, I think. Also, don’t forget to wave!

That’s part of the charm. It’s nice knowing everyone is so friendly in case you get stranded.

Boats used to be my life. Now they aren’t and I’m sad. Boats I owned: 16’ Boston Whaler Daunteless
Boats my family owned:
52’ Hatteras
40’ Wellcraft
44’ Ocean
32’ Monterey
Forgot the others, but these were the most memorable. I miss fishing on a boat, but surf fishing isn’t too bad.

Ya I love driving it - has perfect pass (boat cruise control), a good sound system and about 45-50mph top speed. I grew up wakeboarding so it’s a real treat when I get to go out.

I grew up boating in a 20 year old 19’ Bayliner, a lot of skiing, swimming and tubing while camping at a lake during the summers.

Well I don’t like it.
I didn’t grow up on the water. Just not really interested.
To each their own. I did just buy an 82 Honda motorcycle.

Sailed my whole life, currently working as a rigger on sailboats doing everything from cruising boats to all out racers.

Boating is and has been a big part of my life...which is weird since I live in the desert. I have a small boat (like REALLY small) and my father in law just bought an old hecter of a boat that runs great but I love being out on the lake in anything. Hell, I love just being at the marina and looking.

Nah it’s a mid 2000s so I’m thinking it’s a 6.0 out of the escalade? I dunno it has a plastic cadillac cover on it haha.

I really want to build a steam launch but I need a place with a garage or large covered area. There are various plans and sizes. Some have the ability to be enclosed or open, or both. Haven’t decided on an exact plan yet but I need one with a deeper draft because I am in the bay and not a waterway in England.
