In its fair share of ways it's caused me lots of trouble, beyond its existence as a car but I love it nonetheless. Here's to the next 33,000 miles.

3 busy years of school and also learning to drive in it as well. I had an 80 mile a day for 10’days last summer because of house sitting.

What trouble did you have. Seriously considering an E46 as an option for my next car, so I am willing to learn. Also, which years is it?

Well shit son, bad DME in the key, fuel injector, coolant expansion tank, rubber intake boot, DISA valve, front brakes due to warped rotors, power steering pump. That's all I can pull from my sleep deprived mind.

Nah, luckily the previous owner did those right before I bought it at 92k. Good to go for a while. Only thing it needs are rear tires :-/

My E90 M3 is in for service, so I’m driving my father’s (formerly my) E46 M3 this week. I really miss it I owned it for 7 years and to be honest I will probably end up buying it back. E90 is a better car but the E46 reigns in the “feels” department.

I love the design and ergonomics and everything about my 330. It's an absolutely fantastic car and as my first and only car I am still in love after 3 years. Yes it's an auto and yes it's not a ZHP. But it's love.

Ya! Totally. My 2002 330ci is approaching 150K miles, doing right now a refresh on the coolant bits + tune up (thermostat, hoses, water pump, spark plugs, filters, new tires) but otherwise has been rock solid for the first 2 years. its 4/5ths of an M3 with the Manual!

Exactly. For what I do with it it's more than enough.

E46 is a timeless design, in any flavor.

I had to fix the front bumper - what’s with you WAT Racing guys wrecking the hell out of your front bumpers? My roommate has a WAT sticker and his bumper is trashed.
