The result of a nice muddy off-road excursion. I met a buddy where he was riding four-wheelers after the recent rains.
Now I see why so many WRXs around here are sporting mud flaps.

Hah! The great thing about Louisiana this time of year is that the daily rains keep every thing damp enough for mud to wash right off without taking the paint too.
We stopped by the car wash this morning. It’s ready for the rain this afternoon.
Now if I could just figure out a good solution for all the dang rocks on the road. I already have a dozen rock chips out front and a new one on the windshield just last week.

Gotcha. Fortunately, this little rally excursion was on a dirt “road”. The site is pretty neat. It’s a “summer” home for a guy who visits it twice a year. My buddy has a sweet deal - in exchange for keeping the fences up and the grass cut down, he gets to run cattle on the land and has full access for fun activities like four-wheeling. No gravel in sight!
