Well, as of about 4pm CST, my brother is the proud owner of a 2008 Mazda6 Sedan. It’s the 6i, so 2.3L I4 hooked up to a 5-speed with 3 pedals, just as God intended. Pictures will come after it’s had a wash and wax, but I drove it the ~220 miles home from Tulsa and enjoyed it. Review coming soon, but for now we’ll just say that for a base-model mid-size, it’s not a bad way to go.

I have to say, the southern part of Tulsa (Memorial & 64/169) was actually fairly nice. A little densely populated for my taste (hometown: Perryville. Population: ~1400), but otherwise cool. The people we dealt with were all nice and the traffic was actually a little more reasonable than what I’m accustomed to in AR. However to me it seemed that the farther north you go the worse it seemed to get. The 3 we looked at was located at the corner of Memorial and 15th. Not exactly the greatest neighborhood. Might explain why the car was not that great either.

One area to stay away from is north Tulsa otherwise it’s not a bad place to live plus traffic ain’t that bad but there aren't any outlets for a car enthusiast here.

Yeah, I couldn’t find a good ‘testing’ road anywhere near either of the dealers. And the toll roads kinda sucked. I could fathom the $0.85 I spent getting into Tulsa, but the Muskogee Turnpike was a joke. Spending $3 to go ~40 miles on what was honestly a rather poorly maintained road. I liked the 5mph bump in speed limit, but I’d much rather do 65 on a well-maintained road than 75 on that again.
