I also usually take it. I wedged bewteen a brand new Ford Escape (gross) and a Jag F type that were both over the line in toronto. You know with my 13 year old economy car. hehehehe

Looks like the white Panther on the left is almost on the line. In fact, I’d wage the Panther mirror is over the line. I could justify him hugging the line on your side, but in no way should he be over it like that.

end of the day, if you’re truck doesn’t fit - find another spot.

This is why when I get a truck in about 3 years, I want a Canyon not a Sierra, they fit in parking spots. (around a foot narrower than a Sierra).

You’re within the lines, so it’s a perfectly valid move to take the spot. I wouldn’t do it with a new car or something that I was emotionally attached to though.

Mr Truck needs to learn to park better. There’s not much room to get a big truck in a small garage parking space, but it’s definitely do-able. Especially with backup cameras and sensors. The camera on that truck has lines on it as well! Just line up the camera lines with the pavement lines, and bingo.

What makes it worse is that the parking deck fulls up quickly, by 10am all six floors are full. So when some does this, it pisses me off to no end especially sinse I’m pay monthly in the deck and would have to pay extra if I were to park in the overflow lots. So yeah, people like this can and do cost other’s money.

While I understand what you’re saying, how do you prove he did it? Just because he’s parked there doesn’t mean someone else didn’t do it. Unless you have video evidence of someone committing the crime you probably don’t have a leg to stand on.

While truck guy is over the line, I’m not 100% sure that thing would even fit if he had it lined up perfect. That’s really not that egregious of a parking job. And, who’s to say the guy next to him wasn’t over the line first? Not trying to be a dick, just speculating

It’s the first floor of a commuter parking deck at a train station, the white panther was there last night. Also that was the last spot on the ground floor and I’ll be damed if I’m having to park on the 4th level because of this guy.

He has to be clearly visible in the video, otherwise you have nothing. The photo won’t help. Unless you see his face, all you have (possibly) on video is a guy scratching your car. Even if he gets in the truck, you have to prove it’s him and not somebody who is maybe borrowing the truck or somebody retrieving the truck for him. Civil court is a long, drawn out, and (possibly) expensive process

Good intentions on your part, but the risk:reward ratio is not in your favor.
