Semi overturned on Highway 18 junction

This is off of I-90, Snoqualmie Parkway. The Offramp from westbound has double left turn lanes that are very, very wide. Semis must use the outer lane, and they typically cannot go faster that 10mph in a safe manner.

This one made the turn trying to beat the light I believe, but had so much momentum he tipped right over. Everyone appeared fine.

Also one mile down the interstate, four state patrol had apparently hunted down a stolen Corolla which brought the freeway to a dead stop due to rubberneckers.

And it’s only 8:45am. And I have much more driving to do. Adventure!

People pay to see action in movies so of course they want to see something real happening. That might be slowing down the traffic but sitting in movies is also complete waste of time.

Ah. That’s the second semi rollover at that intersection in two days. Yesterday was on the onramp to I-90E at about 2pm.

You live in Maple Valley? I grew up in Maple Valley. Mostly in close to Hobart and the Junior High.

Cool. I learned to fly at Crest Air park in Covington and went to Tahoma High School. They were just opening the cemetery when I graduated.

Yeah there’s a reason why most people crawl on those turns. They’re effectively sharp 90 degree turns. No real room to curve inward at all.
