(not pictured) If you’ve got some burning questions regarding the car or what a rental spec Ford is like to drive (surprisingly good), I guess I’m your guy. Or you could ask someone who owns one, but how often are you going to find someone who checked precisely zero option boxes when they got their car?

On a scale of basic bitch to poser, how does it make you feel?

Kinja'd!!!

Sidenote: anyone know if base spec Mustangs still have that stupid limited top speed?

Like a Sorority girl drinking a pumpkin spice latte while wearing oversized sunglasses and rocking out to a Drake song.

As to your side note; what was the limit? If it’s not ridiculous I might... consult someone.

No, all the jumps I’ve taken it off of have been mediocre at best.

I saw my first drop top in the person today - a yellow one with the top down. It’s better looking than I was anticipating actually - it wears the long nose lines well. Is the rental special interior horrible?

Not actually? The seats are pretty low-grade, but still really comfortable and supportive in “sporty” driving. The trim is a sort of exposed “Carbon” fiber that’s quite nice. You can feel the weave if you touch it.

Stereo is... decent. Not as good as the stereo in my base level FoST, but not as bad as a lot of other OEM options.

The center display has a lot of information if you want it. Vacuum/Boost, Cylinder head temp, inlet air temp, voltage, transmission and engine oil temp, etc...

The one thing that really irks me is the steering. You turn the wheel, and the car turns, but it doesn’t necessarily feel like those actions are related in any particular way. I’m REALLY hoping Ford figures it out for the Focus RS or that car may be very disappointing for me.
