If a high school teenager with deep pockets finds one of these, there won’t be many left.
It is not too far fetched you might see one in your high school parking lot. Someone at my school managed to convince her parents to get her a new 435i.
This worries me deeply.

“If a high school teenager has parents with deep pockets...”
FTFY

That someone might buy a car?

Oh no!

People? Of a younger age group obtaining cars we don’t think they should have? Madness!

If a high school teenager who has parents with more money than common sense and convinces them to buy it
with deep pockets finds one of these,
there won’t be many left.
fixed.
Then again parents buying kids expensive cars (or rare cars) isn’t new. My cousins live in a rich part of Pittsburgh, at his HS graduation one of the parents there bought their kid (18 years old) a Gallardo Spyder in dark blue as his grad gift.

I feel like if someone worked really hard they could actually be able to afford it !

...And then crash it is where I think he’s going.

So? It happens. If someone can afford to buy something and fuck it up, why is it a huge issue for us?

I am not saying ALL teens will crash there are some responsible hopefully I am in that minor category when I get a license.
![]() 06/22/2015 at 21:36 |

So what’s the issue, then?
![]() 06/22/2015 at 21:38 |

Cars are meant to be driven, but some cars do need more experienced drivers an r32 gtr is a rare sight in America I want it to stay that way.

Does he also have a new M3 and R8?
![]() 06/22/2015 at 21:40 |

So the issue is people getting cars you don’t think they deserve because they’re not experienced enough, is that it? Your last statement is a bit all over the place.

no clue...this was 3 years ago to the date

It is not about anybody deserving things if you have the money you get the product, I was pointing out that if you are less experienced (as most teens are) then there is a higher probability you will crash. In my opinion if you can pay for the car you have every right to purchase it. But with a higher probability of crashes there would be less gtrs on the road. Which makes me a bit sad :(

It’ll happen with every car, even with experienced people. Hell, Rowan Atkinson crashed his F1 twice. If a kid buys an R32 GTR or whatever and crashes it, then whatever. No point in getting worked up over what people do with their cars, no matter the rarity.

Well can’t argue with that
![]() 06/22/2015 at 22:02 |

I really don’t care. It’s not my money.
![]() 06/22/2015 at 22:03 |

Oh. Well there's someone at my HS that has a Gallardo like you described.

No parent will buy a right hand drive car for a high school kid as their first car dude. Chill out!

Hey, I am chill. I think you’re pretty spot on with that point.

Wow, got a great idea for the second “Your First Car”: R32 Skyline.
“The steering wheel is on the right hand side, so if the haters are driving by in the other lane, it’s easier for you to block them out.”

People with money buy their kids expensive new cars, not expensive old cars. The 435i is a much more likely choice than an old R32.

I’ve driven a couple now. (Aussie)
They’re hard to crash. I’d be more worried about the stance scene getting them.

Meh, let the little kiddies buy ‘em and crash ‘em. Salvage title = racecar
![]() 06/22/2015 at 23:26 |

It might be too old so parents might not buy them.
![]() 06/25/2015 at 13:49 |

Not gonna happen, most parents will not buy a 25 year old car (hell not even a 5 year old one) for their kids. The parents will feel that it’ll break down 24/7 and isn’t safe, and I bet RHD will give the parents a nightmare, “My perfect little angle can’t go through the drive-through at Dunkin Doughnuts!”
Old cars, even the old Mercedes Tanks are always considered uncool by most teenagers because they’re not new. Would I have rocked one? Yes I would have.

I bet everyone’s heads will explode if some kid came down with an r34 it is so unknown here to the general public
![]() 06/25/2015 at 13:59 |

But you are right that no parent would buy there kid a old car only the kid can dream of one
