Freakin’ Vinyl roofs destroy cars man. The dude is insane if he thinks he can get $2300 out of this. It just needs to be parted out so other cars can live on.

See the little metal tent-pole looking things running across the roof?
Those are there to support the headliner. These are dual channel roofs. Both layers of sheet metal have rotten.

That has been suggested. I wonder what the frame looks like.
Probably not too healthy given the rest of the situation. I don’t think the frame would appreciate not having a roof on the body too much.

I don’t know what you’re talking about, that roof has a custom iron oxide coating with speed holes. That work alone should be worth $2300!!

If the roof’s the only bit that’s that bad, it’s not terrible. I’ve seen worse. Depending on plans, the repair doesn’t have to be too pretty. If it’s going to end up under vinyl, as long as the replacement metal doesn’t leak, it should be fine.
