To all the dads of Oppo, to all those who have acted like dads for others, and to all of the dads who have raised us to hopefully be the decent people we are today.
I’d like to thank my dad, Old Man CB, for being there when the shit has hit the fan, for giving me constant support and fairly solid advice, and for getting me into cars. Although I am a complete moron, I appreciate it all. (Yes, I did call him today. He’s still being supportive of me getting a car, even though I know it’s not a good idea right now.)

Well, from dad’s everywhere I appreciate your appreciation. My 22 and 19 yr olds gave me some this morning, which was gratifying and little teary eye making.
Then we got down to diagnosing some mechanical problems in the BMW (22) and dealing with rear brake noise in the Mercedes 400e (19.) A good day.
The funny thing? All I ever did was fix cars, not have cool ones. They usually didn’t want to help when I was hip deep doing a tranny swap between vans, rebuilding an engine (on a car I should’a dropped long ago) or figuring out how to remove an ABS unit [because fuckup.] Yet, they get their own cars, and now they are car guys in their circle of friends. Go figure. I guess I did something right.
