I had the opportunity to attend an SCCA Club Race at Lime Rock Park this past weekend. In the morning it was very nice outside, and even sunny at times. However, as the day went on, rain started to fall. Caffeine & Carburetors was also going on at Lime Rock that day, so many beautiful cars showed up and brought spectators to enjoy the races. It was a very fun day, and the action and battles that racing at this level provides is exciting to watch. I made a short video, which you can view below:
In addition to the video, I also took quite a few pictures throughout the day, including the race paddock, the C&C, and even some of an autocross going on in Lime Rock’s infield short track.

Your photos look great, but there isn’t one of me! I was the first group to go out after the rain started. It scared a bunch of the competitors off, and I ended up 6th overall (4th in class). My class, though not the quickest in the group, was represented well up front. There were 4 ITAs in the top 6.

Nice! Which car were you in?? After the rain started I was huddled with a bunch of other people under the autocross building thing.

Red CRX #69, in group 4 of the SCCA race. I didn’t have the time from work, so I started Saturday morning from the back. Worked up through the field to 12th overall. Then, the rain came as I was just about to prep to get to grid. After a quick tire change, I went out and splashed around in the rain. I plan on cutting some of it to youtube, I’ll have to share the link when it’s done.
