Engine displacement, tire size, stick or auto, Orloving Beetles, all of these are things we talk about a lot when it comes to cars. But what about the humble, never talked about freebie? For example, the Advanced Auto Parts hat I got the other day (the picture is from eBay, but you get the point):
It’s a hat, it talks about car stuff, it’s comfy, and the best part?
It’s free!
It seems like nobody ever talks about freebies, and I get there’s not a lot to talk about but still, free t-shirts and hats are a very big, comfy part of car culture that I feel doesn’t get enough recognition. What’s the coolest or weirdest freebie you’ve gotten?

I can’t really think of anything at the moment other than gifts lol.

Free hats, a free yo-yo, free lanyards, free drink tumbler, free earbuds, etc, etc.

Mostly just lanyards. Thanks Nissan, it surprisingly worked out when I got a Nissan.

I got a free NGK Spark Plug Sticker a couple weeks back at a big cruise. Which is perfect cuz I had just put NGK Iridiums in my truck

Got a free Harley sticker once that was pretty notable among stickers. Also a Subaru T-Shirt that was a pretty high quality and wash. A guy from a dealership was handing them out at C&C a few years ago and he brought the first BR-Z I saw in person. Still have the shirt today!

When Forza 4 was coming out, Turn 10 had cards for a free month of XBox Live at their pavilion during the Honda 200 at Mid-Ohio around maybe 2011. My friend and I talked to the gals working the tent and they just let us take a stack of them. We still have like 15 of them somewhere.
