Thanks man, I bought a Golf GTI at the weekend (with a DSG, Boo hiss, scumbag not a real car enthusiast) and it has some residue from a window sticker that the dealer had in it, some of the colour has even been left I tried rubbing it with my thumb but it’s like its part of the glass, when I get around to cleaning it, and if my glass cleaner doesn’t work what should I try?

Sounds like adhesive residue. Does your thumb feel any resistance when you glide your nail over it from the glass to the patch in question? If so then its adhesive residue and a bit of tar and glue remover on the end of a microfibre cloth should make light work of it. If using the likes of Autoglym Tar And Glue, put another cloth down the bottom of the glass to stop or reduce it staining the plastic trim but then some all purpose cleaner (likes of Flash, Mr Muscle, etc... ) will remove that when used right away.

a little resistance but not much, I’ll give it a bash. I couldn’t have bought a Leon Cupra for obvious reasons.

Ye’, you could, you could of called it ‘Leon’s Leon Cupra’ or ‘Leon’s Cupra’ for short.

Even a small amount or thin film of adhesive can be a PITA.

I once knew a guy named Leon Cooper, Leon Cooper’s Leon Cupra would have been just tragic. I prefer the golf though. Tartan seats.

I’ve never been one for tartan, maybe its the proximity to a certain border where I see it often. :)

aside from flying over greenland, the furthest north I’ve been is Derby, which as you can appreciate isn’t that north or close to the sweaty jocks.

Your welcome up north any time.
