So that makes the Aventador SV the last supercar(I really wanna say last important car, but people will get butthurt about not including the Civic Type-R which I don’t care about) to go for a published lap time, no?

Honestly, I know fatalities still happen in fast cars, but look at something like the McLaren 650S. It has a carbon fiber tub, and to my best knowledge, no one has died in one of those cars. The car tears itself apart, it’s a violent accident, but the passengers are always okay. I don’t think cars are “Too safe” or whatever, but I do think that we are getting to a point soon where traffic deaths will be confined to older cars.
