is it just me or has the development problems and all the drama and crap about this and the f35 left a bad impression?
Cool photo though.

Well, since they’ve built all they’re ever going to build, I guess there’s no point in complaining about them any more. They’ve built less than 200, and that doesn’t seem like that many. But really, just how relevant is an air surperiority fighter these days? The future is all about drones, ground attack and guided missiles.

I had a chance to see a demo flight of this bad boy at Wings Over Houston once ... once you see the maneuvers this thing can do you’ll be thinking alien technology for sure! America FTW!

The F-22 really didn’t have anymore teething problems than any other jet fighter since .... forever. Especially considering how much more complex it is. The F-35 on the other hand.....
F-111 ardvark, didn’t work then, why did anyone thing 1 jet for 3 branches would work today.
Also, vidya
Makes me want to endow myself in red, white, and blue whilst masturbate and reciting the pledge of allegiance.

Cool picture, but it looks like a rendering. Something about it just looks off to me, like it is a total fake or it has been post processed way too far. It lands in the uncanny valley when I look at it.

As the photographer, I can certainly tell you that it was not a render. I have the RAW files to prove it. ;) The photo was shot on a Sony a99 24mpx full frame camera with the Sony 70-400G lens at the Rhode Island Air Show in 2014. It produces a certain character that I enjoy very much. Sony is leading the pack in both dynamic range and color quality, and I promise that no untoward actions have been done to the photo. Airliners.net has a strict no-manipulation policy; submitting a render or overmanipulated photo would have you banned. I know, because I used to be one of their staff. ;) Have a good one.

Thanks for the input. I know basically nothing about photography, so I didn’t mean any offense to you by my comments. It is an amazingly clear photograph that seems like it would be impossible to get from the distance you would be at an airshow, but then my photography equipment consists of my cell phone and a rarely used point and shoot.
