The only thing second row captain chairs are acceptable in is Mivinivans/luxury vans.

SUV should have 3 across seating, because their 3rd rows often are folded down.

Just like Clarkson said many years ago, the XC90 was designed by people with kids, whereas the Q7 was engineered by Germans to hold kids.

You know what he is right the interior in the new Volvo is very spacious from what I see I have seen the cramped interior in a q7 before not for kids

Captains chairs belong in routans our family buick enclave has captain chair we would much rather have extra space in the back. We are a family of 5

If I were to spend $70k on an SUV it probably would be this, but I probably never would. BMW ruined me on buying luxury cars.

The dealer was cracking up at me when I got my C30 because I spent more time looking at the XC90 than my car!

Maybe I’ll look into getting one post lease. I can’t stay away from those seats or headlights

No. Wife has Expedition, loves the second row captains chairs. Three kids makes this a wonderful luxury.

My wife got rid of her Enclave primarily because it had the bench seat and not the captains chairs in the middle. We are also a family of five.
